Dr. Gaynel Nave is a healer and AZ licensed naturopathic physician. She works with womxn to reveal the vibrant queen within them so they can embody their true selves. Her practice is virtual and serves her local Grand Rapids community and the world beyond. Her clinical focus is psychoneuroendocrinology, the relationship of hormones, the nervous system, and psychological well-being.
She hails from Jamaica and uses the knowledge from her culture, her naturopathic medical training and trauma-informed training to facilitate healing.
She obtained her naturopathic medical degree at the federally accredited naturopathic medical school, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Nave has also received additional training in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other forms of trauma-informed care.
Each therapeutic partnership with Dr. Nave relies on her client’s expertise of themselves as well as her own clinical expertise. It involves an analysis and understanding of their unique needs and story as well as the use of specialty hormone and gastrointestinal testing, collaboration with your healthcare providers, classical homeopathy, hormonal education, nutrition, and environmental medicine as the primary supportive tools.
Dr. Nave is passionate about education and keeping abreast of the developing knowledge and techniques within psychoneuroendocrinology. This pushes her to pursue training, research and learning opportunities in a variety of fields including but not limited to social work, naturopathic medicine, psychiatry, pharmacology and botanical medicine. In her off time she serves as a member of the Naturopathic Alliance and on the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PsychANP) board of directors as secretary as well as on the subcommittees of professional development and board certification.
