You see them around all the time, cute little babies wearing trendy amber necklaces. But do they really serve a purpose, or are they another tiny accessory for our modern babes?
What is amber?
Amber comes in a variety of colors and shapes and is not a mineral or stone as many think. It's actually fossilized tree resin. It’s the succinic acid in amber that is a natural analgesic (pain reliever) and healing agent. Worn as a necklace, bracelet or anklet, the amber warms against ones skin and the succinic acid is absorbed through the skin, into ones bloodstream.
